Faryn Roy, managing director of North Carolina 2015, local organizing committee for the 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships, was at Skate America promoting the U.S. Championships.
The U.S. brought home five medals including a gold medal from Madison Chock & Evan Bates in ice dance, silver medals from Alex Shibutani and Maia Shibutani, Haven Denney and Brandon Frazier and Jason Brown in ice dance, pairs and men's, respectively,  and a bronze medal from and Gracie Gold in ladies.
"Hilton HHonors Skate America served as a great preview of the outstanding skating you can expect to see in Greensboro in January," Roy said. "The strong performance from Team USA bodes well for an exciting U.S. Championships.".

Promoting the Championships across North Carolina

Members of the local organizing committee for the 2015 U.S. Figure Skating Championships have been traveling across the central region of North Carolina to help build awareness of, and excitement for, the 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

Recent stops on the promotional tour have included the Page Walker Rotary Club in Cary, NC; the Downtown Rotary in Winston-Salem, NC; the annual business expo for the Chapel Hill/Carrboro Chamber of Commerce in Chapel Hill, NC; and "The BIG," a business networking event of the Durham Chamber of Commerce in Durham, NC.

Meanwhile, 2015 U.S. Championships ambassadors continue to make the rounds at monthly Guilford Merchants Association and Greensboro Chamber of Commerce events, as well as the recent Celebration of Women Luncheon in Greensboro sponsored by 2015 U.S. Championships local sponsors The News & Record and The Cemala Foundation.

Special thanks go to LOC representatives Kim Strable, David Nanney, Rachel Musselwhite, Paul Brown and Hill Carrow for their dedication and great work in spreading the good word about the 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
